The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, NER has published the employment notification for the post of Inspector of Income Tax and Tax Assistant under sports quota. Income Tax issued the notice in the employment newspaper on 3 September 2022. Candidates should have Bachelor’s Degree from any recognised University. Eligibility Criteria for Income Tax Department Recruitment 2022

Age Limit as on 31.08.2022

• For Tax Assistant – 18 -30 Years
• For Inspector of Income Tax – 18 – 27 Years

Educational Qualification

Sports Qualification

Appointments will be made of sportspersons considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:

• Sportsmen who have represented a State or the country in the National or International competition in any of the games/sports mentioned in para 2 (as mentioned in the notification.).
• Sportsmen who have represented their University in the Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards in any of the sports/games mentioned in para 2 (as mentioned in the notification.).
• Sportsmen who have represented the State School Teams in the National Sports/games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation in any of the games/sports mentioned in para 2 (as mentioned in the notification.).
• Sportsmen who have been awarded National Awards in Physical Efficiency under the National Physical Efficiency Drive.

Road, Guwahati, Assam – 781005 by post/by hand so as to reach the office of the undersigned on or before 16 September 2022 (Upto 5.00 P.M) 23.09.2022 for candidates domiciled in North Eastern States, Andaman Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Jammu & Kashmir. The envelope containing the application should also be superscripted as follows: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST(S) OF ……….. UNDER MERITORIOUS SPORTS PERSONS“QUOTA”.
