The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the commencement of the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) admissions for the academic session 2025-2027. The D.El.Ed program is a two-year professional course aimed at training individuals to become proficient primary and upper-primary school teachers in Bihar. Successful completion of this program is mandatory for those aspiring to teach at these educational levels within the state.

Eligibility Criteria
Prospective applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Completion of 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board. A relaxation of 5% is provided for candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/PwD).
- Age Limit: Candidates must be at least 17 years old as of January 1, 2025. There is no upper age limit for application.
Application Process
The application process is conducted online through the official BSEB website. Follow these steps to apply:
- Registration: Visit the official website deledbihar.com and register by providing your name, email ID, date of birth, and valid mobile number.
- Application Form: Log in using the credentials provided during registration and complete the application form by entering personal, educational, and other required details.
- Document Upload: Upload scanned copies of necessary documents, including:
- Passport-sized photograph (20 kb to 100 kb; 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
- Signature (10 kb to 50 kb; 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm)
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheets
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Residential certificate
- Identity proof
- Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using a credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. The fee structure is as follows:
- General/OBC/EWS: ₹960
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹760
- Submission: Review the application form carefully and submit it. Take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
Entrance Examination Details
The Bihar D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Test (JET) is scheduled for February 27, 2025. The examination will be conducted Online and will comprise 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be answered within 150 minutes. The distribution of questions is as follows:

Syllabus Overview
Candidates should prepare for the following subjects:

- Mathematics: Basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data interpretation.
- Science: Fundamental concepts in physics, chemistry, and biology.
- Social Studies: History, geography, political science, and economics.
- General English: Grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and sentence formation.
- Logical & Analytical Reasoning: Analytical puzzles, logical sequences, and problem-solving skills.
Admit Card
The admit card for the entrance exam will be available for download from February 17, 2025, on the official website. Candidates must log in using their credentials to access and print their admit cards. It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination center along with a valid photo ID.
Result and Counselling
The results of the entrance exam will be declared on April 15, 2025. Qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process, expected to commence in May 2025. The counselling process includes document verification, choice filling for colleges, seat allotment, and payment of the admission fee.
