- 3 Year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) with Minimum 50% Marks and 50% Marks in English in Diploma Course. OR
- 2 Year Vocation Course with Non Vocational Subject Physics and Math from Any Recognized Board with 50% Marks Aggregate and 50% Marks in English.

अग्नीपथ योजना के अंतर्गत शामिल पैकेज में अन्य लाभ
- कुल वार्षिक पैकेज– पहले वर्ष में 4.76 लाख एवं चौथे वर्ष में 6.92 लाख।
- भत्ता– अग्निवीर को वेन सभी भत्ते प्रदान किए जाएंगे जो सेना को प्रदान किए जाते हैं।
- सेवा निधि– प्रत्येक अग्निवीर को अपने मासिक वेतन का 30% का योगदान देना होगा। सरकार द्वारा भी समान राशि का योगदान किया जाएगा। 4 वर्ष पूरे होने के पश्चात अग्निवीर को 11.71 लाख रुपए की राशि प्रदान की जाएगी जो आयकर से मुक्त होगी।
- मृत्यु पर मुआवजा– अग्निवीरों को 44 लाख का गैर अंशदाई जीवन बीमा कवर प्रदान किया जाएगा। यदि अग्निवीर की सेवा के दौरान मृत्यु हो जाती है तो इस स्थिति में 44 लाख की अतिरिक्त अनुग्रह राशि प्रदान की जाएगी। इसके अलावा सेवा निधि घटक समय 4 साल तक के अप्राये युक्त हिस्से का भुगतान किया जाएगा।
- अपंगता की स्थिति में मुआवजा– चिकित्सा अधिकारियों द्वारा निर्धारित दिव्यांगता के प्रतिशत के आधार पर मुआवजा प्रदान किया जाएगा. दिव्यांगता के लिए 44/25/15 लाख रुपए की एकमुश्त अनुग्रह राशि प्रदान की जाएगी।
- कार्यकाल पूरा होने पर– कार्यकाल पूरा होने के पश्चात उम्मीदवार सेवा निधि प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। इसके अलावा प्राप्त कौशल का प्रमाण पत्र और उच्चतर शिक्षा के लिए क्रेडिट का प्रावधान भी किया जाएगा।
