Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th class) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- An ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) is mandatory.
Age Limit (as on 25 October 2025):
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation:
- OBC Candidates: 3 years
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years (additional relaxation applicable for OBC/SC/ST PwBD candidates)
Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS Candidates: ₹100
- SC/ST/PwBD/Female Candidates: Exempted
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online during the application process.
Selection Process
The selection process is based on a merit list prepared by averaging the percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation and ITI examinations, giving equal weightage to both.
Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification and a medical examination to ensure they meet the medical fitness standards prescribed by the Railways.
